Job Title: Spinal Injury Support Worker (Live-In)
Salary: £151.52 per day
Location: Prestbury, Cheshire
Must Hold a full Uk Driving licence with business insurance or happy to get it
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team and provide high-quality care and support to an individual with complex health needs. Based in Prestbury, Cheshire, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the life of a university student with spinal injuries, ensuring her comfort, safety, and well-being.
Working Hours:
You will be working on a Live-In shift pattern of 1 week on, 1 week off. Your working week will start on a Saturday at 12 pm, with the shift ending the following Saturday at 12 pm. During the week, you will assist the client with transportation to and from university in Liverpool, and will be based in Liverpool from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, you will return to the client’s home in Prestbury.
The client enjoys a variety of activities, including attending church on Sundays, cinema outings, music, and singing.
Key Responsibilities:

Delivering personalised care and support to the client with spinal injuries and complex health conditions.

Assisting with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.

Administering medication and monitoring the client’s health.

Providing emotional support and companionship.

Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in the client’s condition.

Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar support worker role, ideally in complex care settings.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Flexibility to work the specified hours.

A valid UK driver’s license.
