Your Role
We have an opportunity for a Complex Care Assistant to join our new client in Swanage. The client is a female with diabetes, a stoma bag and gastrostomy so experience with glucose management, stoma care and gastrostomy management are preferred.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing personal care tailored to the needs of the client.
- Supporting client with medication administration, personal care and companionship.
- Ensuring the client’s comfort, safety, and overall well-being throughout your shift.
Building a connection with the people you care for is central to the role. You’ll need patience, empathy, and flexibility to connect with individuals on their level and provide the support they need. In addition, the physical aspect of care will be a part of your responsibilities, requiring stamina and attention to detail.
What We Look For
We are looking for individuals with:
- A caring, compassionate, and patient approach to care.
- Experience working with individuals with mental health and challenging behaviour.
- experience in complex care desirable but can we train.
- The ability to build trust and positive relationships with clients and their families.
- Flexibility and a willingness to meet the individual needs of each client.
- Full driving licence with business insurance required to escort client if needed.
If you have relevant experience, or are new to care, we will support you with the training you need. Whether you are assisting with personal care or providing emotional support, we’ll ensure you are fully equipped for the role.
