- Saturday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Tuesday & Thursday: 11:00 am – 5:00 pm

As a Complex Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting clients with complex care needs, empowering them to maintain their independence and live life on their terms. You’ll join a supportive team that provides all the training and development you need to thrive in this meaningful role.
Your Role
In this position, you’ll support an adult with a learning disability, including autism spectrum disorder. Our client has a condition that can lead to symptoms such as feeding difficulties, and your care will help them continue attending college and living at home among friends.
Each client has unique needs, and your care will be tailored to them. From helping with daily routines and attending medical appointments to providing full-day support, your role will be varied and rewarding. The most important aspect is your ability to connect with clients and manage both the emotional and physical demands of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism
- Managing seizures
- Administering PEG (Enteral Feeding)
- Administering medication
About You
If you have patience, flexibility, and a caring nature, we’ll provide you with all the training and tools you need to provide excellent care. We value those who can build meaningful relationships with clients and their families, while managing the physical aspects of care with confidence.
Supporting You
At Sonderwell, we care about our carers. You’ll have access to both online and in-person training to ensure you’re fully equipped to meet the specific needs of your clients. You may also have the opportunity to pursue a relevant NVQ qualification. Depending on the client, you might work independently or as part of a team, and you may support more than one client if your availability allows.
Before starting, you’ll meet your client and their family, and throughout your time with us, a Care Coordinator or Nurse Manager will always be available for guidance. You’ll also have access to our ‘Carer App’ to help you stay informed and supported in your role.
